The Evergreen Paper Mill in Canton NC is closing and that means 900 jobs are going to be lost in the community. This is devastating to so many families, so please reach out and try to help if you know any of the folks that work there.
In other related news, another big employer, Pratt & Whitney, has just opened in Asheville and they are now hiring. Plus, they have a fast track course being offered at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College, A-B Tech so you can get trained and on-board as quickly as possible.
